CHILD ABUSE
Child abuse is ocurring very often in current times. Usually, it accomplishes shame or fear, but this should not continue that is why we must help with solutions so that it becomes a thing of the past.
What is Child Abuse?
According to many definitions, I can say: "Child abuse is an act of
violence, provoked by the people who are in the care of the child, who, in
turn, threatens the rights of the child, after being abused physically,
psychologically, sexually or negligently. "
However,It is very important to know
that in Latin America and the Caribbean the following happens, according to
UNICEP in 2016, 196,000 children under the age of 5 die each year, that is,
every 3 minutes in a day, this is due to negligence in the face of epidemics
and malnutrition and also 25,000 infants and adolescents get killed each year,
of which adolescents die a result of homicide.
Paola Andrade, the director of Ecuador NO MORE, who teaches prevention strategies on how parents can educate their children, how to take care of themselves using rules: "Your body is yours and nobody can touch you". Child abuse will reduce if Paula´s strategies are put into use.
Known Consequences of child abuse:
Problems sleeping
Suffer from nightmares
Behavioral changes
Fearful and afraid of situations
Victim of this situation mostly isolates themselves from friends and family.

Therefore, we must help with
solutions, such as continuous orientation about child abuse, to promote respect between
people in the face of violence and educational campaigns in this regards.
Also to help abused children with competent professionals such as a psychologist to help them get ahead and not have sequels in the future.
